Date: March 3 2013 10:00am Location: 1972 NW Flanders St.

1972 NW Flanders St.

On Sunday, March 3, 2013 the Women of Reform Judaism/Beth Israel Sisterhood (WRJ/BIS) will present a forum on “Child Trafficking in Portland.”

Open to the community and free of charge, this program will feature guest speakers U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici and Deputy Keith Bickford of OATH (Oregonians Against Human Trafficking), as well as others involved in this battle.

According to OATH: “A common misconception about human trafficking is that it only happens abroad. In reality, it is happening here, in the United States and in Oregon.”  This program will help inform the public and be a guide of how to advocate for maximum punishment for traffickers and rehabilitation centers for victims.

Join us, learn with us, and advocate with us to push for maximum punishment for traffickers and rehabilitation centers for victims. The presentation will be held in Pollin Chapel of Schnitzer Family Center: 1972 NW Flanders Street. This program is free of charge and open to the entire community.
