The Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery at Lewis & Clark College is partnering with Jordan D. Schnitzer and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation to present selected works by Portland-based artist Tad Savinar. The exhibition, titled youniversepast, present, future, Selected Works by Tad Savinar from Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation features 14 pieces selected to illustrate the core tenets of Savinar’s work.

Running January 17 through March 5, 2017, the collection exhibition, rather than being a survey of Savinar’s four-decade studio practice, focuses on two bodies of his work: prints, paintings, and sculpture created between 1994 and 2016; with a sub-focus on and works conceived in Florence, Italy, in 2014. and others that followed into 2016. As described in Pictures That Talk, a book funded by The Ford Family Foundation and published concurrent with about the exhibit and written by Hoffman Gallery Director and Curator Linda Tesner.
