Gamification, or the application of gaming elements to curricular design, as a means of to engage and motivate students continues to be a popular emerging trend in education. The growth of the digital badge movement and development of standards such as open badges offer opportunities to display achievements earned. Come share your thoughts about the FTI Passport Game and Skill Badges and discuss best practices and strategies for how (and why) you might use games or game-like elements to engage and motivate your students.
