100 Projects for Peace Presentation & Info Session
Date: 7:30pm PDT September 24, 2014 Location: Miller Hall
Nway Khine, Katie Schirmer and Sam Shugart will share their experience about applying for, and then doing, the 100 Projects for Peace program in 2014. Their proposal, “Teaching to Build Trust, Connections & Friendship in Taunggyi, Shan State, Myanmar” was Lewis & Clark’s winning submission to the 100 Projects for Peace grant program in 2014.
Come hear how Nway, Katie, Sam and Lewis & Clark alumna Irada Yeap ’14 started a groundbreaking program for religiously diverse children in a conflict-prone part of Myanmar over the past summer.
Brian White, director of international students and scholars and chair of the 100 Projects for Peace selection committee at LC, will also talk about how to apply for the 2015 program.
