This summer, our coalition resolved Clean Air Act litigation against the PGE Boardman facility, Oregon’s only coal-fired power plant. The settlement will ensure that the plant shuts down by 2020 and reduces its acid rain-causing pollution in the meantime. This settlement paves the way to a clean energy future for Oregon.
The settlement also creates the Penstemon Fund, which will provide $2.5 million in funding for habitat restoration, renewable energy, and air quality projects in Oregon.
Please join us to celebrate this victory, thank our coalition partners, and learn about how the Penstemon Fund can help shape a renewable energy transformation!
We hope to see you there!
