Modern Direct Democracy and the American West

Lewis & Clark is pleased to host a briefing tour by experts from Europe and the United States on participatory direct democracy. The day’s events are sponsored and co-presented by the Consulate General of Switzerland, the nation with an initiative and referendum system that provided an influential model for American reformers in the early 20th century.
Several related events will take place on September 26 at Lewis & Clark:
- 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Round table discussion (by invitation)
