Law alumnus appointed by governor to head Colorado state agency

Law alumnus Jim Martin’s environmental leadership earned him the top spot at the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. Read the story in the Denver Business Journal.

Law alumnus Jim Martin was appointed yesterday to the top spot at the Colorado Department of Natural Resources by Governor Bill Ritter. In giving his reason for choosing Martin, Ritter said: “Jim has proven himself time and time again as a strong leader and innovative policy maker. Colorado will be well-served by the depth and breadth of his subject-matter expertise on the issues critical to the mission of the Department of Natural Resources, including public lands, water and energy. His leadership style is one of consensus-building and problem-solving, and he has broad respect among stakeholders and a great record of public service.”
