Dr. Anneliese Singh chosen as the graduate commencement keynote speaker

Anneliese A. Singh is an Professor at The University of Georgia and serves in the role as Associate Dean for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Anneliese A. Singh is an Professor at The University of Georgia and serves in the role as Associate Dean for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Dr. Singh co-founded the Georgia Safe Schools Coalition to support LGBTQ+ students at the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race/ethnicity, disability, class, and other identities and experiences. She founded the Trans Resilience Project to translate her research over the last 15 years on the resilience that trans and nonbinary people develop to resist discrimination and move toward liberation. Dr. Singh is a co-PI on the first NIH-funded longitudinal, multi-site (Atlanta, New York, San Francisco) study of transgender and nonbinary risk and resilience, called Project AFFIRM. Dr. Singh is a faculty member with the Counseling and Student Personnel Services, PhD program (Gwinnett), School Counseling and Professional Counseling, MEd programs, and an affiliate faculty with the Counseling Psychology PhD program and Qualitative Research program.
