Our programs are designed to support our students in their interests, encourage an environment of care and wellbeing, and to cultivate inclusive spaces in our community.
William Lew BA ’23More about WilliamBecause L&C is a liberal arts school, classes will often contain people from a wide variety of majors. This makes it feel like I’m always finding new people to meet in my classes, while also seeing a lot of familiar faces in my major-specific classes.

ISS promotes and facilitates the interaction and exchange of culture, customs, experiences, and knowledge within the international student body, as well as between international students, Third Culture Kids (TCKs), and American students on and off campus.

Meet the 2024 Nielson Social Change Innovation Grant Recipients!
Students Indigo Araya and Nichole Champion have been awarded the 2024 Nielson Social Change Innovation Grant for their transformative projects that promote social justice and community wellbeing. The Nielson Grant, made possible through the generosity of Patrick Nielson ’71 and Dorris Nielson, provides funds for Lewis & Clark undergraduate students to bring their initiatives to life to create systemic social change. This year’s recipients are tackling issues of transgender rights in Costa Rica and holistic wellness in Portland.
