Comings and Goings: A fond farewell to Vern Jones

New faces, new titles, and a few farewells: Here’s wishing everyone good luck in their new adventures.

After a teaching career that began at Lewis & Clark in 1973, Professor of Education Vern Jones will retire from the graduate school this summer. The campus community is invited to celebrate his contributions on Wednesday, April 30.

“For 44 years, I’ve been able to do something that I love, and that I’m pretty good at, and that seems to make a difference in the world,” Jones said. “And the college was hugely supportive. I’m grateful to the college for letting me do my career in what I thought was the best way to do it.”

In this video, Jones reflects on the key to student success and why the heart of what we do here at Lewis & Clark is so important.
