Michelle Callahan Honored for Contributions to College Health Promotion

Director of Health Promotion and Wellness Michelle Callahan has won the American College Health (ACHA) Association New Affiliate Award for 2024.

Director of Health Promotion and Wellness Michelle Callahan has won the American College Health (ACHA) Association New Affiliate Award for 2024. This prestigious award recognizes professionals who have made a significant contribution to their institution or Pacific Coast College Health Association (PCCHA) in the five years or less that they have worked in college health.

“This is a tremendous honor for Michelle and a testament to the wonderful work she does here at Lewis & Clark,” Associate Vice President for Student Health and Accessibility Aimée Milne said.

Through education, advocacy, and research, ACHA is the principal national leadership organization and the voice of expertise in college health. The PCCHA is a voluntary, nonprofit, regional affiliate of the ACHA, and provides a professional organization which institutions of higher education, their health services, other interested individuals and organizations may join in order to work together to promote health, including preventive and health promotion programs, on behalf of those they serve—the students. PCCHA represents Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and Washington. PCCHA is also represented internationally in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon).
