Health Insurance After Lewis & Clark
After graduation from Lewis & Clark College, your school insurance ends and you are no longer covered for accident and illness. Many students fail to make plans for private insurance coverage and this can lead to serious problems and expensive costs.
If you were enrolled in the school insurance plan during the spring semester and plan to graduate in May, you may pay for and enroll for summer coverage through the school's insurance carrier. But, the coverage is only temporary--until the end of summer. If you were enrolled in the school insurance plan during the fall semester and plan to graduate in December, you may pay for and enroll for spring semester coverage through the school's insurance carrier. But, again, the coverage is only temporary--until the end of the spring semester.
It is your responsibility to purchase an individual health insurance plan. Below are some agents that you might want to contact for information. The list is based on companies used by students in the past and does not mean the Lewis & Clark College endorses any specific insurance plan or carrier.
