Fifteen outstanding Mathematical Sciences students and one staff member were inducted into the national mathematics honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon. This was the 6th annual induction ceremony of Lewis & Clark College’s Oregon Eta Chapter.
Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To promote mathematics, the National Pi Mu Epsilon Council sponsors an annual conference in conjunction with the Mathematics Association of America’s (MAA), the annual MathFest.
Professor Liz Stanhope conducted the ceremony and Professor Naiomi Cameron gave an inspiring mathematical talk.
