Friday, May 3rd is the final day of the spring housing agreement, and with spring break and finals ahead to plan for, it will be here before you know it. Don’t be caught off guard wondering how to frantically get all your organizing and packing done before you leave. Start now!
Here are some things you can do now to prepare.
  • Identify items that you don’t want to pack. Are you flying home? Traveling in a small car? Make a plan now for oversized items.
  • Swap new or gently used items with a friend. Plan an item swap party with other folks on your floor!
  • Make a donation box, and bring it to a sustainable move-out location the week of May 1st
  • Repurpose unwanted items into something new and exciting. Hey, Pinterest! Crafting party?
  • Trash it. If you have a broken or used item, and it cannot be recycled, take it to a dumpster. Please be mindful of e-waste and take things like used batteries and electronics to an appropriate waste site.
Please plan to remove all personal items from your room to avoid fees and to help out our facilities and custodial staff during a very busy time of the year.
Wishing you all a smooth and successful wind-down to the academic year,
