    A little rain can’t dampen the Pioneer spirit—especially when it comes to Homecoming. Nearly 1,000 alumni, parents, and friends donned their rain gear to cheer on the football team and attend Homecoming Weekend events in late October.
  • More than 1,000 alumni and friends returned to campus in June to celebrate class reunions and overseas and off-campus programs during Reunion Weekend 2012. Attendees drove, flew, and rode tandem bicycles to Portland to reconnect with their alma mater, former professors, and each other.

    Don’t miss Reunion Weekend 2012, June 21–24, which will include class gatherings for these years: 1952, 1962, 1972, 1982, 1987, 1992, 2002, and 2007. Many reunions of overseas and off-campus programs are also in the works, as well as a special celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of Lewis & Clark’s Overseas Study Program.

    In the dead of winter in Fairbanks, Alaska, when temperatures average 10 degrees below zero—and sometimes drop to 40 below—Suzanne Bishop B.S. ’82 is snug and safe inside the Cold Climate Housing Research Center, monitoring high-tech sensors, compiling data, and planning for her summer garden.

    Pacific Crest, located in northeast Portland, is a fully accredited independent school for grades 7 through 12. It was founded in 1993 by Becky Lukens M.A.T. ’90, Ed.S. ’10, Jenny Osborne M.A.T. ’94, and three other teachers.

  • After many years of discussion and planning, a committed group of undergraduate alumni has realized the dream of acquiring dedicated space for alumni social gatherings and events. Lewis & Clark’s gatehouse, a stone and brick building at the main entrance to campus, has been refurbished and renamed the Morgan S. Odell Alumni Gatehouse.
