    periodicals (journals and magazines)
    video games (but not for other apps; see below)

    • Use quotation marks with the following:

    albums
    articles
    dissertations
    individual lectures
    papers (e.g., papers presented at conferences)
    poems*
    radio programs**
    songs
    speeches
    stories
    TV programs**

     
    * If of book length, italicize.
    ** If part of a continuing series, italicize (e.g., PBS’s Sesame Street, National Public Radio’s All Things Considered).

    • Do not use italics, underlining, or quotation marks (but use appropriate capitalization) with titles or names of the following:

    apps
    courses
    events
    symposia
    panels
