Is it possible to pursue a demanding legal career while maintaining a sense of personal balance? It is if you are Kathleen Dailey JD ’84 or Jim Brunberg JD ’03.

Is it possible to pursue a demanding legal career while maintaining a sense of personal balance? It is if you are Kathleen Dailey JD ’84 or Jim Brunberg JD ’03. The law school honored both achievers at the fifth annual Joyce Ann Harpole Lecture and Awards on October 18.

Dailey, of Williams Dailey O’Leary Craine & Love, received the Harpole Award for her outstanding work as an attorney, mother, community volunteer, and role model.

Brunberg received the Harpole Memorial Legacy Scholarship for his ability to juggle marriage, a successful musical career, legal studies, and community service work.

The award and scholarship are named for Joyce Ann Harpole JD ’79, who successfully balanced career, family, and community responsibilities. She died in 1994 at age 42.
