David Borofka

David Borofka BA ’76 retired in 2019 from Reedley College in California after 36 years as an English instructor. His collection of short stories, A Longing for Impossible Things, was released in spring 2022 by Johns Hopkins University Press. His novel, The End of Good Intentions, will be published in fall 2023 by Fomite Press. He and his wife, Deb Everson (Gardner) Borofka BS ’79, have lived in the Fresno, California, area for nearly 40 years. She is the Reading and Writing Center coordinator for Reedley College. They have two daughters, Katherine and Kristian, and one grandson, Everson Philip.
