Jude Pate JD ’93 was appointed to the Alaska Supreme Court on April 21, 2023, by Governor Mike Dunleavy. Pate, a superior court judge in Sitka, was selected from a list of individuals nominated by the Alaska Judicial Council to fill the vacancy created by Chief Justice Dan Winfree’s retirement. He has been an Alaska resident for 29 years and has practiced law for 28 years.
