Michael Metroke BS ’75, JD ’79, MPA ’85 authors this science fiction murder mystery. The plot follows a detective tracing the path of a criminal who’s murdered an android, thereby threatening a fragile peace between Earth’s humans and their manufactured androids. This work is the sequel to his previous book, The Masada Affair. There’s also a third entry in the works. Outskirts Press, 2022. 184 pages.

Michael Metroke BS ’75, JD ’79, MPA ’85 has spent the last 40 years in the legal profession, working with such entities as the City of Portland, the State of Oregon, Pacific Power, and Portland General Electric. He’s also been an adjunct instructor for the public administration program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. He is married to Marcia Metroke MPA ’87 and lives in Southwest Portland. Metroke is also a writer working on a science fiction series beginning with The Masada Affair, which was published by Outskirts Press in 2022.
