Barbara Shibley

Barbara Shibley BA ’59, April 20, 2023, age 85. After graduating with a degree in Religion, Shibley married Gilbert Shibley BA ’60 in November 1959. She worked as a Christian educator in Presbyterian churches in Oregon and Wisconsin. She went on to earn an MA in community leadership: adult Christian community development at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, in 1993. After retiring to Springwater, Oregon, in 2000, Shibley served on the Estacada Public Library Foundation Board and was executive director of the Estacada Area Food Bank from 2008 to 2017. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert, children Jeremy (CAS ’82), Mark, Stephen and Becky (CAS ’87) and their spouses, seven grandchildren and their partners, and two great-grandchildren.
