Robert Peters BA ’52, January 6, 2023, age 92. After a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, Peters earned an MDiv at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. He then worked as a minister around the Pacific Northwest. In 1965, Peters traveled to Selma, Alabama, where he joined the historic march for civil rights. Later, he became a professor of history at the University of Oregon. Before retiring in 2007, he served as a public defender. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Peg; his children, David, Roger, Daniel, and Katie; and three grandchildren.
