Landon Mascareñaz

Landon Mascareñaz BA ’05 has been elected chair of the Colorado State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. He will oversee the 13-school state system. He coauthored The Open System: Redesigning Education and Reigniting Democracy, a new book from Harvard Education Press. In Colorado, he finds himself working with leaders globally at the intersection of education, the workforce, and democracy. Previously, Mascareñaz worked as a teacher and later as head of the Teach for America program in New Mexico. He holds a doctorate from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
