Thomas B. Powers JD ’98
Thomas B. Powers JD ’98 has been appointed circuit judge for Oregon’s Tenth Judicial District, which encompasses Union and Wallowa Counties. His term began April 1, 2017. Powers most recently managed a solo practice in Enterprise, Oregon, where he handled indigent criminal defense cases and civil matters, and represented small businesses. Previously, Powers practiced for more than a decade at Williams Love O’Leary & Powers, PC, where he represented plaintiffs in medical device negligence cases. Powers also served as a senior assistant attorney general in the Financial Fraud/Consumer Protection Section of the Oregon Department of Justice.
