William Cobb JD was selected to fill a vacancy on the federal bench in Reno, Nevada. He is one of two federal magistrates in Reno serving an eight-year term.
Julie Frantz JD was elected director of the Multnomah Bar Foundation for a three-year term. Frantz joined the Multnomah County Circuit Court in 1994 and is its chief criminal judge. She serves as vice president of the National Association of Women Judges.
Johnathan Haub JD completed a two-year assignment in Podgorica, Montenegro, as the U.S. Embassy’s resident legal advisor. During his detail to Montenegro, Haub served as special advisor to the special prosecutor for organized crime, corruption, terrorism, and war crimes and assisted in forming Montenegro’s first multiagency task force to fight organized crime and corruption. He has resumed his duties with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the criminal division in Portland.
R. Craig Hindley JD retired and closed his law office after practicing for 32 years before Washington County courts.
Charles “Chuck” Tauman JD joined the Multnomah Bar Foundation Board of Directors. In his private practice, he focuses almost exclusively on tobacco litigation.
D. Lawrence “Larry” Wobbrock JD was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Paul Clayman BS joined the Washington, D.C., office of the United Nations Development Programme as a senior policy advisor in July 2011. Previously, Clayman served 15 years in the legal advisor’s office at the Department of State, five years as counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and several years as an independent consultant to the U.S. House of Representatives, the Stimson Center, and USAID, among others.
Peter Glade JD was elected president of the Multnomah Bar Foundation. Glade is a shareholder with Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf in Portland.
Ronald Towner BA was appointed to the Agnese and Emil Haury Endowed Chair in Archaeological Dendrochronology at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research and School of Anthropology at the University of Arizona.
