What three words would you use to describe L&C?

Creative, Invigorating, Collaborative

How would you describe sustainability at L&C?

Sustainability is a priority of the campus community. As time goes on, more efforts are being made to bring sustainability to every aspect of campus life.

What’s your involvement with any sustainability initiatives on campus? What’s the best part of your experience?

I have learned about sustainability through my Introduction to Environmental Studies course and in an entrepreneurship class about sustainable practices in business. I am a member of the Gardening Club on campus, and am excited for my upcoming summer internship that has to do with environmental education, which I got through the Sustainability Internship course. The best part of my experience so far has been understanding the different ways individuals perceive and experience the physical world, which has led me to think about the issues surrounding the environment more deeply.

What should incoming students know about sustainability at LC?

Incoming students should be excited about the opportunities there are to learn about and contribute to sustainability efforts on campus and the surrounding area at large.

How does sustainability prepare students for life after L&C?

As climate change continues to evolve, being environmentally conscious will become more and more relevant—in every professional field and our lives in general. It is an important topic to have knowledge about since it can impact one’s life and career.
