Atkinson met with representatives from the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark (ASLC) on Thursday, April 28, to gather ideas, suggestions, and questions about the qualities potential candidates should have.

“Students emphasized the importance of having a dean who is available to students, who communicates well, and is committed to strengthening relations among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and Lewis & Clark’s three schools,” says Atkinson. She welcomes further input from all community members. Comments may be sent to provost@lclark.edu.

With assistance from the search firm Isaacson, Miller, the search process will begin over the summer, and candidates are expected to arrive on campus in the fall of 2011.
