Jess Perlitz, Assistant Professor of Art and Studio Head of Sculpture, received three competitive awards to support her sabbatical this semester. The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) awarded Perlitz with an artist Project Grant to support the creation of “The Rock That Moves,” an artist’s book that draws from a myriad of sources to tell a story about sculpture. Perlitz was also selected for the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts international Artist-in-Residence program and received an Oregon Artist Fellowship for a residency at Vermont Studio Center.
