Help Welcome New CAS Students on August 30

The first day of CAS New Student Orientation is just two and a half weeks away! Please support new students and the first-year experience team by creating a welcoming environment for the newest members of our community:

  • Wear your favorite Lewis & Clark gear or anything black and/or orange on August 30. We’d love to see everyone show their school spirit!
  • Help new students move into their residence halls. Your help can come in the form of carrying boxes from cars to rooms, providing directions, or simply greeting people with a smile. Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and you can sign up for a shift online.
  • Help us start a new tradition! Join us on the Glade at 2:30 p.m. on August 30 to be a part of the welcome tunnel. New students will pass through the human tunnel as they enter Pamplin for their NSO welcome event.
  • Be mindful about parking on August 30. The CAS campus will be extremely busy during move-in, especially around residence halls. Please park in the Fir Acres, Griswold, or graduate school lots rather than in the residential areas of the CAS campus.
  • Get to know some of our incoming students in this Newsroom article

If you have any questions about move-in day, please reach out to the first-year experience team, Jonathan Manz (jmanz@lclark.edu) or Franchesca Spann (franchescaspann@lclark.edu).
