Rebecca Lingafelter Stars in Portland Center Stage Play

Associate Professor and Department Chair of Theatre Rebecca Lingafelter will star in an upcoming play titled What the Constitution Means to Me at the Portland Center Stage.

In Portland, Rebecca is co-artistic director of Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble (www.petensemble.org), and a company member at Third Rail Repertory Theatre. Recent work includes performing in a new adaptation of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, a devised work inspired by the photography of Robert Frank, The Americans, Amy Herzog’s Mary Jane and Cardiac Organ: A Goth Cabaret. She directed a devised performance of work created by students in Reiko Hillyer’s Inside/Out Prison Exchange class, I Think of You, at Portland Center Stage in August of 2023. What the Constitution Means to Me is a 2019 Tony Award nominee and winner of the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award.

At Lewis & Clark, Rebecca teaches acting, directing, devised performance, voice and movement, global contemporary performance, and directs mainstage productions.

What the Constitution Means to Me runs January 20 through February 18.
