Visit Campus
Take a Campus Tour
Visiting Lewis & Clark is the best way to get to know us. Our three campuses—undergraduate, graduate, and law—are nestled in a forest just six miles from downtown Portland, and we have a free shuttle that will take you there.
Our undergraduate campus spans a ravine and is surrounded by trees, giving you ample space to explore and connect with nature.
Our law school is located next door to Tryon Creek State Park, which is where you’ll find members of our community hiking the 13 miles of stunning nature trails.
And our graduate school has an expansive green lawn that serves as a backyard, commonly listed as our students’ favorite place on campus. It’s also where our bee garden is housed!

Explore Portland
Lewis & Clark is located in the lush hills of South Portland, the city’s “sixth quadrant.” But our beautiful campuses aren’t the entire story—our location offers something that most other schools do not: an ideal setting in a vibrant, progressive city with endless networking, entertainment, and cultural resources.

There are so many restaurants, food trucks, fun places, and the perfect combination of city with the wilderness. There are also really nice events, such as the Light Festival.

My favorite thing about living in Portland are all of the great neighborhoods! I can always find a cute coffee shop, thrift store, or bookstore to spend my afternoons when I’m free from class. There are so many food carts to get a great meal from, and there are great concert venues in the city as well.

The Pio Express shuttle is great to escape campus and explore Portland if you don’t have a car!

We’re also at the same latitude as Burlington, Vermont, and Minneapolis, Minnesota (but without the subzero temperatures.)

GE @ 4: Reflecting on the last four years of GE
As you might know, our GE curriculum turned 4 this year (is it too on the nose to say “this is the curriculum’s graduation year”?)! In any case, the GE Steering Committee decided to devote our annual (end-of) spring workshop to doing an overall check-in on the curriculum. We want to know how it’s going generally, and possibly, to identify problem areas that have emerged over last four years. The information yielded from the assessment work we’ve been doing through the years was another reason that prompted us to this decision: there’s so much of it we need help making sense of it all.
Detail on how to RSVP will be added soon.
