    Moodle is a web-based content management system that makes it easy for groups to securely interact, collaborate, communicate and share materials on the web. First, we’ll introduce you to Moodle and tell you about the various tools it offers to help you reach your students beyond the classroom.  Then we will take you through the basics of setting up your Moodle course.

  • Image preview All Day: Critical Pedagogy in the Digital Humanities
    This three-day workshop for faculty at the Northwest 5 Consortium will explore methods and approaches for using technology to teach the humanities.  Participants are asked to bring at least one sample assignment or syllabus, which will be used as the basis for much of the work we do as the workshop progresses. Participants should leave with (at a minimum) an assignment or syllabus that better meets their own expectations of digital pedagogy in the humanities.

    Ever wonder how to record those little how-to videos from your computer screen?  Whether you wish to show students how to log in to WebAdvisor, show a step-by-step data entry project to your student workers, or demonstrate the correct citation format in Word, these videos, called screencasts, can be far more effective teaching and demo tools than handouts. In this class we’ll look at some of the available options and create some easy screencasts.
