Web User Interface
Updated July 8, 2011
**Mac Users have expressed problems using the Firefox browser in OSX 10.6.7. Safari seems to be working better for now for that version of the OS. Users having upgraded to 10.6.8 OSX cannot use drop-down boxes. The problem is under investigation.**
UI Web will connect you to Datatel’s web-based client software. Use your Colleague/Benefactor password to log into this service. After you enter your userid, you can select which account (Collive or Coltest) to connect to using the “Database:” selector. The user interface for the web is available to all users. We recommend using the Firefox browser by Mozilla as Internet Explorer and Safari are having issues with the connection.
The appearance of this interface is very similar to the desktop graphical environment (which is available only for the Windows operating system). There are some differences. Some of the cut and paste features do not work in the web version, making the use of SLED (Saved List editing screen less effective.)
Off-Campus Use:
The process for connecting to UI Web is different if you are off-campus as you must first establish a connection to the college’s “private network” via our the VPN Server. After you have logged in to the VPN service, you will be able to continue into UI Web.
