Fees

Semester Late Fee

Lewis & Clark reserves the right to assess late fees to all past due student accounts. Late fees will be assessed as follows: balances of $399 and below are subject to a per semester $10 late fee, balances of $400 and above are subject to a per semester $100 late fee.

Returned Payment Fee

Should a payment be returned by the bank it will result in a $20 fee on the Lewis & Clark student account.

Law Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP)

All Lewis & Clark Law Students pay a mandatory fee of $25 per semester to to support LRAP. This fee contributes toward helping Lewis & Clark Law School graduates who take low paying public interest jobs cover their law school student loan payments. Assistance is provided to qualified graduates through forgivable loans that are canceled after one year of public interest work. Further information on LRAP is available here.

Health and Wellness Fee

The Health and Wellness Fee supports the operations of Wellness Services, including the Counseling Service, the Health Service, the Health Promotion Office, and the Office of Case Management.  All students in the College of Arts and Sciences pay a mandatory fee of $37 per semester.

Media Fee

The Student Media Fee supports all student produced media. Started by a student led initiative in the spring of 2011, the Student Senate of the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark established the student media fee of $20* per semester. Student leaders feel strongly that as a community they can support the Student Media Board’s guarantee of a free and responsible student media by providing an opt-out student media fee. Green Power Fee

The Green Power Fee is a voluntary fee incurred on the student account each fall. Students can choose to ‘opt out’ of the $20* annual charge no later than the second week of the fall term. The fee is the result of a student initiative to purchase renewable energy to support 100% of campus energy usage. Any remaining funds support initiatives and projects that promote renewable or sustainable energy. For further discussion of the Green Power Initiative, please click here.

New Student Orientation Fee (CAS only)

All first-year and transfer undergraduate students will be charged a New Student Orientation fee of $215 in the fall. The New Student Orientation (NSO), provides a five-day overview of the resources, services and opportunities that are available to students. The Orientation fee covers some of the expenses (meals, publications, guest speakers, etc) associated with preparing you well to begin your first semester at the college.

Commencement fee (CAS only)

A fee of $25 is charged to all undergraduate students to provide for the cost of a cap, gown and diploma cover for commencement.
