Financial Aid Timeline

For Law Students

October 2023

There are major changes coming to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. As a result, the 2024-25 form will be available in December 2023, not on October 1.

In the meantime, we encourage you to log into your StudentAid.gov account with your FSA ID and make sure your email address is current.

If you don’t have an FSA ID yet, we recommend that you create one now. It can take up to 3 days for your account to be fully verified.

NOTE: If you are married and did not file 2022 taxes jointly with your spouse, your spouse will also need an FSA ID in order to contribute their information to your FAFSA form.

December 2023 – February 2024

The redesigned FAFSA will be available by December 31. Students who wish to be considered for federal financial aid in Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and/or Spring 2025 should file the 2024-25 FAFSA as early as possible.

  • File online at FAFSA.gov.
  • Federal school code for Lewis & Clark: 003197.
  • FAFSA Priority Filing Deadline: February 15, 2024.

March – April 2024

Schools will start receiving processed FAFSA form data in the first half of March, so be aware that your checklist in Financial Aid Self-Service won’t be updated until then.
