Shelly Meyer
Senior Communications Officer and Editor, The Chronicle
In 1998, Shelly Meyer retraced the journey of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark by moving from St. Louis to Portland. She joined the Publications Office, a precursor to the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, that same year.
Shelly is an award-winning writer and editor with more than 20 years of experience in the communications field. She currently serves as editor of the Lewis & Clark Chronicle magazine.
Early in her career, Shelly worked in the corporate communications department of a national financial services firm. She then transitioned to a position as grants manager at the St. Louis Science Center, where she wrote both development and marketing publications.
In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, practicing yoga, and chasing after her young daughter.
Shelly graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and earned her master’s degree in English from Washington University in St. Louis.
