Classroom AV support

cables

IT Academic Operations is responsible for providing, maintaining and repairing instructional technology equipment for use by undergraduate classes on the Lewis & Clark campus. Our Classroom Technology Matrix will show you in which rooms equipment has been permanently installed. The Service Desk has a limited stock of equipment available for checkout for use in rooms without installed equipment.

Although we are not sufficiently staffed to provide labor to set up or operate classroom equipment, we can offer you help in locating a student, staff person or outside vendor for hire, or we will train you to operate the equipment yourself.

Smart Classrooms:

Most of Lewis & Clark’s classrooms are equipped with computers, projectors, and DVD or Blu-Ray players, controlled by a Crestron touchpanel.  Here is a simulation of what to expect when using a classroom touchpanel to control A/V equipment. Press the various buttons to get an explanation of how each feature works. Contact us with any questions or concerns you may have through the Service Desk @ x7225.

System Status

  • All systems are up and functioning.

  • Apple has recently released their new operating system for iMacs called Mojave.  Until we’ve had a chance to run the new OS through our vetting process, we would strongly encourage you to hold off upgrading your computers for the time being.  We will let you know once we feel confident that our network, tools and software will work properly with Mojave.

  • Departmental printing is now being handled by the Lewis & Clark Print Center.  The Print Center is happy to take care of your print requests!  Give them a call at x7768 for assistance.

  • The IT Service Desk has implemented a phone tree to better service the campus community.  Please listen to the new prompts the next time you call x7225.
